Beginning Monday, April 22, the Fontaine Research Park Shuttle will expand its operations to start at 7:00 a.m. The first stop — at UVA Encompass Health, 515 Ray C. Hunt Drive — will be at 7:10 a.m., an hour earlier than the current schedule. The shuttle will operate Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
A new stop will be added at Pinn Hall on Jefferson Park Avenue, just before the West Complex stop.
UVA Health is in the process of updating the shuttle route and schedule. Please check the shuttle website for more details.
Along with the expansion of the morning hours and the additional stop for the Fontaine shuttle, UVA Health is exploring options to extend the evening service to 7:00 p.m. in July.
The UVA Health shuttle provides weekday transit services for patients, visitors, and staff to and from University Medical Center and medical facilities at Fontaine Research Park and Northridge Medical Park. Approximately 215 passengers use the shuttles daily.
