Blue Ridge Poison Center Announces Newsletter Registration Drive: Sign Up For Information and Prevention Tips

SBlue Ridge Poison Center graphictay informed about resources from the Blue Ridge Poison Center by signing up for their free newsletters. There are two newsletters: The Antidote provides information, prevention tips, and education resources for the general public. ToxTalks provides up-to-date information on substance misuse trends, management guidelines, and more for healthcare professionals.

UVA team member subscribers to the newsletters have a chance to win a prize. The Blue Ridge Poison Center plans to randomly select five team members from their newsletter mailing list on January 10, 2025, to receive a $20 Amazon gift card. To enter, join the mailing list using your UVA email address. Current team member subscribers do not need to join again—they will already be considered for the raffle.

The Blue Ridge Poison Center is staffed by medical toxicologists, nurses, and pharmacists with specialized training in treating poison exposures from all sources. It’s free, confidential, and open 24 hours a day. The center may be reached by calling 1-800-222-1222. Healthcare providers may also use the dedicated provider hotline: 1-800-451-1428.
