UVA Grad Student’s Concussion Assessment Uses Digital Tool to Provide Immediate Results of Injured athlete

A UVA grad student’s innovative tool using digital QR codes to conduct pre-season concussion assessments, after injury, and during recovery has reduced the amount of time spent on assessments. This time saving tool will allow high school and collegiate trainers to process hundreds of student athletes more efficiently. Athletic trainers can also keep team physicians informed that an injury has occurred, even when they aren’t traveling with the team.
