On Tuesday, March 25, starting at 2 a.m., UVA Health’s SPOK paging software will be down for required maintenance.
Downtime is not expected to exceed four hours. All care team members should follow downtime procedures for paging on-call providers and call groups and for emergency calls.
Options for paging providers and call groups during SPOK downtime
- Vocera text page. (Note: not all providers have Vocera).
- Click on SPOK desktop app (“radar” icon) to reach out directly to on-call providers.
- Clicking the icon will open a list of on-call providers and their phone numbers.
- You may also use Qgenda to look up on-call providers.
- Call the Contact Center at 434.924.0000 and they will contact the on-call provider.
- The Contact Center will schedule additional staff during the downtime to ensure timely support is available.
- On-call providers and call groups MUST keep their phone and ringers turned on to receive Vocera text pages and phone calls.
Emergency calls to 924.2012 will be overhead announced in the hospital.
