In Scientific American, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology Matthew J. Meyer argues that doctors must get more involved in the public health crises that climate change will bring. This was in response to the recent Supreme Court decision in the case known as West Virginia v. Dr. Meyer is a steering-committee member of Virginia Clinicians for CIimate Action, co-chair of the UVA Health Sustainability Committee, and CEO of PeriOp Green, a health tech company focused on eliminating unnecessary waste in the operating room.
