Nominations and self-nominations for the School of Medicine’s Academic Standards and Achievement Committee (medical student promotions committee) are being accepted.
There are four open positions, beginning in May. Members on the committee must be faculty in clinical or research departments and be willing to commit approximately an hour and a half each month to service for a three-year term. The faculty of the committee shall be diverse, ensuring a broad faculty perspective.
The committee meets the third Wednesday of every month, from 4-5:30 p.m., via Zoom. Members are expected to attend at least 75% of meetings during a given calendar year, and in applying, applicants are committing to meet that standard. Timeliness also is critical given that all committee business requires a quorum of its voting members.
To apply for this vital role in the School of Medicine, please submit a brief statement of interest to Lesley Thomas, Assistant Dean for Medical Education, no later than Wednesday, March 1.
