Medicine in Motion: Edward Egelman, PhD

My laboratory is focused on structural biology, and the main technique we use is cryo electron microscopy, which enables us to determine the atomic structure of many biological assemblies. These cover a vast range from pathogenic bacteria that infect humans to archaea that live in the boiling acid. —Edward Egelman, PhD, Professor, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics
