October 8, 2024 by daf4a@virginia.edu

We develop new quantitative models and computational methods for analyzing high throughput data from emerging genomics technologies. A better understanding of the genetic and epigenetic code, or how the human genome works, can help us comprehend the mechanisms of many diseases like cancer, and can provide insights into novel diagnostic and therapeutic developments. —Chongzhi Zang, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Genome Sciences; Director, Computational Genomics, UVA’s Comprehensive Cancer Center
