The School of Medicine’s Department of Anesthesiology attended the 6th World Congress for Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine in Paris, France September 6-9. The program is delivered through collaboration between the five continental sister societies for Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and is held every four years on a different continent. It brings together more than 3,000 participants from more than 100 countries around the world.

This year, four faculty from the department of Anesthesiology, including Lynn Kohan, MD, Nabil Elkassabany, MD, MBA, William Manson, MD, and Priyanka Singla, MD, lectured, taught workshops, and presented at the meeting. UVA had the most faculty representation among all institutions in North America. Congratulations to the Department of Anesthesiology for making us proud!
