Megan Bray, MD
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is proud to share that Megan Bray, MD, was named the 2023 recipient of the Jefferson Scholars Foundation Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr. Bray has been a member of the Department of OBGYN since 2005 and served as the associate dean for curriculum for the School of Medicine since 2015.
Over her years of service, Dr. Bray’s commitment to educating the next generation of physicians has been recognized by both students and colleagues. She is a past recipient of Gold Humanism in Medicine Award, APGO National Teaching Award, the Mulholland Society Departmental Teaching Award, and the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching as well as others. Her innovative work with EPA (Entrustable Professional Activities) has led to 5 peer reviewed publications. She has mentored more medical students that can be counted and has served as the formal fourth-year medical student faculty advisor for innumerable medical students choosing a career in OBGYN. Students who matched to surgery, anesthesia and pediatrics have also sought her mentorship.
