A new clinical study published in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine indicates an artificial pancreas originally developed at UVA Center for Diabetes Technology improves blood sugar blood sugar control in children ages 2 to 6 with type 1 diabetes. Breton, PhD, an associate professor of psychiatry and neurobehavioral sciences at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and co-founder and associate director of research of the UVA Center for Diabetes Technology, is the senior author on the study.
