Retreat activities will run Friday 8:30 a.m. through 5:45 p.m. The program will have some changes in keeping with the fiscal responsibility measures that have been impacting research. In spite of this, the Research Advisory Committee has developed an exciting agenda that will allow for SOM researchers to connect and celebrate some of the wonderful research being done!

Highlights of the Retreat – Bench to Bedside Symposia Format
In 2026, the SOM Faculty Research Retreat will feature four mini-symposia, each with speakers from a range of basic, translational, clinical, data, or public health sciences and following a central theme from bench to bedside. Topics include:
- Aging: Health and Disease
- Mitochondria at the Crossroads of Stress, Metabolism, and Disease
- Imaging in Research and Medicine
- Psychedelic Science and Research
Pinn Scholar Talks
Four recent Pinn Scholar awardees will share their developing projects. Speakers include: Jennifer Payne, Chongzhi Zang, Huiwang Ai, and Xiaowei Lu.
