The School of Medicine is excited to announce the re-launch of the Dean’s New Faculty Seminar Series. Starting in February, we will host a seminar on the first Thursday of every month from 4 – 5 p.m. in Pinn Hall, Room 1005. The first seminar will be held February 6, featuring Brady Spencer, PhD, in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Cancer Biology and Jie Yang, PhD, in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics.
The monthly seminars will feature two recently hired assistant professors who will present a 30-minute introduction to their research program. The goal is to introduce our talented new faculty to the broader research community within the UVA School of Medicine and to potentially spark new cross-school collaborations.
We look forward to seeing you at these upcoming seminars! All faculty, staff, trainees and students are invited to attend. No registration is required and light refreshments will be served.
