2025 Summer Research Internship Program participants
UVA’s Summer Research Internship Program (SRIP) hosted 27 undergraduate students for a summer research experience in biomedical sciences that concluded on August 1.
Selected students from colleges and universities from across the U.S. and Puerto Rico arrived on Grounds May 25 to spend 10 weeks immersed in hands-on research projects investigating current problems in biomedical sciences guided by faculty mentors.
In addition to the lab work, students engaged in weekly professional development and scientific communicating workshops and expanded their research knowledge through a speaker series with research scientists.
The summer research program culminated with students presenting their summer research to faculty mentors and lab colleagues during a two-day symposium, July 30-31.
