Overall, 33 of 40 studies found significant decreases in anxiety, 25 of 34 found significant decreases in stress, and 22 of 24 found increases in mindfulness.\u00a0\u00a0 The authors concluded that \u201cOverall, mindfulness meditation shows promise in reducing stress and anxiety in college students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bamber MD and Schneider JK.
