It is hard to believe but the end of the calendar year is upon us and it is a good time to reflect on our collective accomplishments which are so many that we decided to devote the entire issue of this Medicine Matters to celebrate each division and their notable achievements. As you will see, it was an amazing year with success in every realm. Faculty are improving the lives of our patients through clinical care, research and education and we are supported by a world-class DOM staff that is so supportive and dedicated. Our DOM staff are really the unsung heroes who everyday work behind the scenes to make sure that everything is running smoothly and that faculty have the support for their work. My sincere and deep appreciation for their efforts. Another special thanks to our residents and fellows who are one of the key reasons why we are here. Their hard work, dedication and focus on patient care and pushing us to ask critical questions is a model for all of us.
As we go into the holiday season I hope that all of you will have time to spend with family and friends and to reflect on our collective successes. We are a fantastic team and I so proud to work with all of you. Many thanks!
