Eduardo Marbán, MD, PhD, is director of the Heart Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The former editor-in-chief of the journal Circulation Research, he is a recipient of a Distinguished Scientist award from the American Heart Association and an Outstanding Contribution to Cardiovascular Research award from the International Society for Heart Research. His current research focuses on using biologically based therapies for cardiac regeneration and biological pacemakers.
Learning objectives:
- To understand the goals of regenerative therapy for Heart Disease.
- To understand the scientific basis for Stem Cell Therapy and Limitations.
- To Review the clinical experience with Cardiovascular Stem Cell Therapy.
