The annual joint meeting of the American College of Rheumatology and the Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals (ACR/ARHP) draws more than 16,000 participants from around the world. At the 2016 meeting, held in November in Washington, DC, the results of the “TRACTION” collaborative study, in which UVA Rheumatology faculty and fellows participated, were presented. Abstract can be viewed at: http://acrabstracts.org/abstract/implementation-of-treat-to-target-in-rheumatoid-arthritis-through-a-learning-collaborative/.

At the same meeting, former UVA Rheumatology fellow Diana Mosteanu, MD, who graduated from the program in July 2016, presented a poster:

Rheumatology Fellowship Program director Don Kimpel also reported that two current fellows —
Narayana Swamy, MBBS, and Brandon Miller, MD — gave presentations at the “Thieves’ Market” session at the annual meeting of the Virginia Society of Rheumatology, which was held in Virginia Beach this past September.
