Michael P. Bergman, MD is an assistant professor of medicine in the UVA Division of Pulmonary Medicine.

CME learning objectives:
1. Understand the risks of under- or over-resuscitation in patients with sepsis.
2. Understand that all fluids may not be created equal.
3. Understand the physiology behind and predictors of volume responsiveness.

Medicine Grand Rounds is offered every Wednesday throughout the year by the UVA Department of Medicine, in association with UVA’s Office of Continuing Medical Education. CME credit is available; instructions and forms are available at the event.
