Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, as we pause to think about the many things in our lives that we are grateful for. It is also a time to reconnect with family and share stories and memories.
Every day in our Department, I am struck by the amazing ways in which our colleagues touch other lives — whether through clinical care, research, teaching or simple acts of kindness. We are surrounded by dedicated people who care for one another.
I am very grateful and honored to work with all of you, and I thank you for all of your contributions. Together we form a diverse and inclusive community — and it is this inclusivity that makes us special and honors everyone’s contributions.
I wish all of you a happy and safe Thanksgiving — and for those who will be working on this day, my special thanks for your efforts.
Mitch
