Aditya M. Sharma, MBBS, is an assistant professor in the UVA Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. Dr. Sharma’s research focuses on peripheral arterial disease, venous thromboembolism, and fibromuscular dysplasia. He is director of the division’s Vascular Medicine Fellowship Program.


CME learning objectives:

  1. Review basics of vascular medicine and its role in the medical community nationally.
  2. Review evolution in the management of venous thromboembolism including identifying low risk patients for home therapy as well as consideration for endovascular and surgical therapies for venous thromboembolic disease.

Medicine Grand Rounds is offered every Wednesday throughout the year by the UVA Department of Medicine, in association with UVA’s Office of Continuing Medical Education. CME credit is available; instructions and forms are available at the event.
