Christina Surawicz, MD, is Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine, and has practiced general GI at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle since 1981. She served as chief for the UW Medicine’s Division of Gastroenterology until 2013.

Dr. Surawicz is a leader in treating patients with recurrent C. difficile infection with fecal microbiota transplant. She is a past president of the American College of Gastroenterology, and is widely recognized as a clinician, researcher, educator and administrator, and as a role model and mentor for medical students, residents and faculty across the country.
