Ayotunde Dokun Receives NIH R01 Award for PAD and Diabetes Research

Ayotunde Dokun, MD, PhD, an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism, was awarded a five-year R01 grant from the National Institutes of Health to support his project, “Modulation of miR29a and ADAM12 to improve peripheral arterial disease outcomes in diabetes.” Endocrinology division chief Zhenqi Liu, MD, extended his congratulations and remarked: “This award reflects the outstanding work Dr. Dokun has been doing in relation to peripheral artery disease and diabetes, and I wish him the best of success with this project.”
