Elizabeth M. McNally, MD, PhD, is the Elizabeth J. Ward Chair and Professor in Medicine and Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. She is a cardiologist and geneticist whose expertise is in inherited disorders that affect the heart including the cardiovascular complications of neuromuscular disease. She is director of the Center for Genetic Medicine (CGM), a center that provides support to the genetic missions across Northwestern University and its affiliated clinical programs and schools.
CME learning objectives:
- Review etiology of cardiomyopathy and heart failure.
- Discuss genetic causes of cardiomyopathy.
- Understand the role of private genetic variation disease progression.
