Medical Grand Rounds | Nicolas Intagliata, MD: “Anticoagulation in Cirrhosis –- Preventing and Treating Thrombosis”

IntagliataNNicolas Intagliata, MD, is assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. He specializes in hepatology and transplant hepatology, with a research focus on the hemostatic and coagulation system in cirrhosis.

CME Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the role of prophylactic anticogulation and therapeutic anticogulation in the treatment of patients with splanchnic and non-splanchnic thrombosis.
  2. Recognize the risks and benefits of anticoagulation in cirrhosis.
