Congratulation to Erika Rhone, MD, Pediatric Nephrology Fellow and postdoctoral fellow on the UVA Nephrology T32 Training Grant, who was awarded a 2016 Trainee Research Award in Basic Science from the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology, for her project entitled “Genomic-Derived Markers to Identify Calcineurin Inhibitor Nephrotoxicity in Pediatric Kidney Transplant Recipients.” Erika is a physician-scientist who is mentored by Thu Le, MD, Associate Professor in the Division of Nephrology, and Valeria Mas, PhD, Associate Professor of Surgery.
