Rogol, MD PhD<\/strong> has been awarded the prestigious <strong>Judson J. Van Wyk Prize <\/strong>for lifelong achievement by the Pediatric Endocrine Society for 2015! This is the Society\u2019s most prestigious award, recognizing \u201can outstanding leader who has displayed a career of scientific excellence, leadership and dedication to the health of children.\u201d See more details below. Dr. Rogol has been a source of pride to our Department, Children\u2019s Hospital and School of Medicine for a long time. I am very proud to have him among us. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Rogol!<\/p>\n<p><em>About the Prize:<\/em> The Van Wyk Prize is the Society&#8217;s most prestigious award in recognition of outstanding career achievement by a member in the field of pediatric endocrinology. This award, established in honor of Judson J. Van Wyk, M.D., stands in tribute to an outstanding leader whose has displayed a career of scientific excellence, leadership and dedication to the health of children. Annually a member of the Society is selected by a panel of senior members appointed by the President to select a member whose career achievements in pediatric endocrinology have the respect and admiration of his\/her colleagues comes most close to emulating that of Dr Van Wyk. This prize will be awarded each year at the PES Annual meeting. The awardee will be chosen by the PES Honors Committee with review by the President and Board of Directors of PES. The Honors Committee will base its decision on the awardee&#8217;s aggregate successes in clinical or basic research, support of fellowship or general pediatric endocrine education, and overall involvement in the achievement of the goals of PES.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From Jim Nataro: With great pleasure and pride I announce that our own Alan D.
