\"Dines<\/a>Katherine Dines, children\u2019s songwriter, recording and teaching artist, visited the UVA Children\u2019s Hospital on September 18. Katherine collaborated with the Hospital Education Program to bring music to the children and their siblings on the pediatric acute care units. She filled the classroom on 7 West with joyful music and encouraged everyone to sing along with her. For those who could not come to the classroom, Katherine visited children in their rooms bringing the same level of enthusiasm.<\/p>\n

Katherine\u2019s visit was sponsored by Pickleberry Pie,<\/em> whose mission is to provide quality entertainment for hospitalized children. Pickleberry Pie<\/em> is generously funded by individuals and corporations who understand that music provides its own healing power. Katherine was so well received by the children and their families that Pickleberry Pie<\/em> has agreed to send additional performers.
