The purpose of this award is to recognize up to two University of Virginia physicians with the reputation of being the \u201cdoctors\u2019 doctor\u201d \u2014 the physicians to whom their colleagues turn to assist in managing complicated patients, care for family members, or serve as their personal physician.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Award details:<\/strong>\u00a0 $5,000 each for up to two UVA physicians who demonstrate outstanding clinical service.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Who is eligible?<\/strong>\u00a0 UVA physicians who spend a minimum of 50% of their time devoted to patient care (direct patient care and\/or supervised care with students and\/or residents). Eligible physicians include those representing the University of Virginia School of Medicine, University of Virginia Medical Center, and University of Virginia Physicians Group.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Selection Process:<\/strong>\u00a0 All SOM faculty and UVA Health System clinicians will have an opportunity to submit the names of up to two eligible UVA physicians.
