Linda Martin, MD, cardiothoracic surgeon and professor in the Department of Surgery, served as a global principal investigator and site PI for an international clinical trial that was selected for presentation at the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress on October 18, 2025, in Berlin, Germany.

The study, titled “A Multicentre, Phase II Study of Neoadjuvant Durvalumab and Platinum-based Chemotherapy Followed by Either Surgery and Adjuvant Durvalumab or Chemoradiotherapy and Consolidation Durvalumab in Resectable or Borderline Resectable Stage IIB–IIIB NSCLC,” was led by a team of eight investigators worldwide (two surgeons, four medical oncologists, and two radiation oncologists).
