Karen Warburton, MD, professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Nephrology, was the keynote speaker at the American Council of Educators in Plastic Surgery (ACEPS) annual meeting in Nashville, TN on February 14, 2026. Her talk was titled “Managing Resident and Faculty Disengagement.” The UVA Plastic Surgery Education team, including Department Chair Scott Hollenbeck, MD, Program Coordinator Carla Mackey-Cooks, and Director of Education Colleen McDowell, also attended the meeting.

ACEPS mission is to support the education of safe, ethical, competent, and innovative plastic surgery.
