The Office of Faculty Affairs and Development is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2025-2026 UVA School of Medicine Junior Faculty Development Program (JFDP). Faculty assistant professors are encouraged to apply to join the 10th annual JFDP cohort.
Sessions are held every other Wednesday, October 8, 2025 – May 13, 2026 from 8:00 a.m.- 10:00 a.m. Participants can expect a time commitment of about three hours per week which includes in-person sessions, preparation, and project work. Learn more about the program.

- Notifications of application decisions will be sent by May 30.
The JFDP is designed to meet the unique needs of early career faculty in academic medicine. Over the course of an academic year, we meet regularly to address a broad range of topics needed for career success including education, research, leadership, communication, and publication. Faculty will learn knowledge and skills that promote your development and advancement, develop a mentored scholarly project, and form professional networks that will support them throughout their career.
