Antonio Abbate, MD, PhD
The Office of Research Core Administration announces Professor Antonio Abbate, MD, PhD, in the Department of Medicine’s Division of Cardiology, has been promoted to Medical Director of the School of Medicine’s Exercise Physiology Laboratory Core.
Dr. Abbate came to UVA from the Medical College of Virginia and Medical Director of the Exercise Physiology Core Lab (EPLC). Dr. Abbate is an outstanding physician-scientist and will be a tremendous asset to the core. He will work closely with Core Director Lisa Farr, MS and Faculty Director and Professor Art Weltman, PhD to expand clinical research support offered by the core to UVA investigators.
