Developing a research question with significance and selecting a conceptual framework for your educational scholarship
This workshop is part of the Teacher Development Excellence in Medical Education: Certificate Program. It is also the second session in a series, How to Develop a Successful Medical Education Research Project. The series includes six sessions over several weeks. Although participants are encouraged to attend the entire series, faculty are welcome to attend individual sessions.

• The steps necessary to make the case that a research topic is important
• What a conceptual framework is
• How to incorporate conceptual frameworks into medical education research
Dates TBA for the following sessions:
Session 3: Research design using qualitative methodology
Session 4: Designing effective questionnaires for survey-based research and evaluation
Session 5: Research design using quantitative methodology (case control, cohort, etc. and typically used statistical analyses)
Session 6: Submitting an abstract
