Location: Leonard Sandridge Auditorium, McKim Hall

Date: Sep 18, 2024 - Sep 18, 2024

Start Time: 3:00 pm

End Time: 4:00 pm

On Wednesday, September 18, from 3:00-4:00 p.m., join the Department of Public Health Sciences and Delta Omega, the Public Health Honorary Society, as we celebrate 100 years in public health!

UVA’s Gamma Pi chapter invites you to learn about the resurgence of infectious diseases in the 2010s: how H1N1 and Ebola were understood and managed and how these events created the landscape for the response to COVID-19 at the end of the decade. Attendees will hear from a panel of UVA experts, and learn about what worked and what needs to be improved for epidemic and pandemic preparedness in coming decades. The event will be held in the Leonard Sandridge Auditorium, McKim Hall. Light refreshments will be provided.
