The UVA Precision Health Initiative will host Laura Rozek, PhD, Professor of Oncology at Georgetown University Medical Center and co-Leader of the Cancer Prevention and Control program for Georgetown-Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, on Tuesday, March 10 for her talk, “Exploring Disparities in Colorectal Cancer Survival: The DANCE Study”.

The evolving epidemiology of colorectal cancer requires contemporary studies to identify avenues for prevention and improving survival. The Disparities and Cancer Epidemiology (DANCE) study is a multisite population-based cohort study of colorectal cancer in metropolitan Detroit and Louisiana to characterize epidemiologic, clinicopathologic, and molecular drivers of survival. This talk will address preliminary analyses as we complete our first phase of collection and discuss future planned studies that address the changing burden of disease worldwide.
