Innovation in Education Week, hosted by the Center for Excellence in Education (CEE), will be held March 9-13, 2026. This annual event serves as an opportunity to celebrate original scholarship produced by members of the UVA School of Medicine, to provide networking opportunities, and to welcome accomplished internal and external scholars who will provide professional development through keynote presentations.
The entire School of Medicine community, including faculty, trainees, students, and staff, are invited to attend all of the events.

Keynote Speaker, Barrett Fromme, MD, MHPE
This year’s highlights include oral and poster presentations by a wide range of students, trainees, and faculty, as well as keynote and panel presentations focused on teaching excellence and adaptive teaching skills. A major highlight will be the poster and awards reception Thursday evening, where poster authors will be present and sharing about their educational research and innovations. The reception is open to all School of Medicine faculty, trainees, and staff. The week concludes with the Innovation in Education Week keynote address: “Mastering the Art of Adaptive Teaching and Learning,” by Barrett Fromme, MD, MHPE, of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
