The University of Virginia School of Medicine proudly conferred 144 Doctor of Medicine degrees to the Class of 2024 medical students on May 19. This momentous occasion is a significant milestone in their journey to becoming a physician. It was a wonderful day of celebration and anticipation as the graduates were honored for their achievements and began looking towards their future as practicing physicians in their chosen specialties.
Graduation day started with the 195th Final Exercises on the Lawn and culminated with the MD degree ceremony at the Paramount Theater. Our medical students saw their dreams come true as they walked across the stage and received their Doctor of Medicine degrees. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for them as doctors and the extraordinary impact they’ll have on patients’ lives — here in Virginia and beyond!
