BioLab Student Selected for Prestigious Program at Harvard Medical School

Kinga PlutaKinga Pluta, a participant in this year’s Visiting Research Graduate Training Program (VRGTP), also known as BioLab, was selected to participate in the Poland Clinical Scholars Research Training Program at Harvard Medical School. This one-year certificate program is intended for clinician scientists and features practical training focused on healthcare research. Topics of workshops and lectures include, among others, translational research, omics, epidemiology, advanced biostatistics, clinical trials, management and teamwork, and preparing high-quality grants and manuscripts.

Ms. Pluta’s participation in this program is funded by the Medical Research Agency, a government agency responsible for healthcare research development. Here at UVA, Ms. Pluta is pursuing her research project under the mentorship of Norbert Leitinger, PhD, a professor in the Department of Pharmacology.
