The School of Medicine congratulates the 55 Department of Public Health Sciences students who were awarded Master’s degrees in public health or clinical research in the 2024-25 academic year. Many of them were able to join ceremonies held at Culbreth Hall on Sunday, May 18. Senior Associate Dean for Education Meg G. Keeley, MD, and other leaders welcomed the graduates and their guests. Paige Hornsby, PhD, inaugural Vice Chair for Education for the Department of Public Health Sciences delivered the keynote address.
The event was filled with excitement and pride as the graduates were celebrated for their accomplishments, which included completion of final projects in a broad range of topics such as clinical outcomes, mental health, one health, cancer prevention, and the social determinants of health. The graduates are looking forward to careers in a variety of fields like government agencies, health systems, consulting firms, community organizations, not-for-profit groups, NGOs, businesses, and insurance companies.
