The Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) organized and held a new after-school STEM outreach program, “Buford Biomedical Investigators” for Buford Middle School students this spring that concluded with a field-trip to the BME Department research labs.
Buford students spent the day with BME PhD student leaders, Kareem El-Ghazawi and Wisam Fares, the organizers of the program, and many other BME student volunteers participating in hands-on wet-lab activities and learning how to engineer a healthier tomorrow.
