September 30, 2022 by dld5dt@virginia.edu

Purpose:

From its inception in 1908, the Department of Biological Chemistry at JHUSOM has prioritized interactive research at the forefront of biomedical

knowledge coupled with a strong dedication to trainee development. The Paul T. Englund Scholars program recognizes emerging scholars who have

demonstrated potential to forge tomorrow’s scientific breakthroughs and promote a creative, diverse, and inclusive future in biochemical research.

Background:

Applicants at the postdoctoral or assistant professor level are invited in all areas of mechanistic biology. Applications will be evaluated on both

demonstrated scientific contributions and potential for future impact on the field. We strongly encourage individuals from historically

excluded groups in science to apply. Awardees will be recognized and invited to present a seminar in the Paul T. Englund Emerging Scholars series at

JHUSOM and will receive an honorarium.
