Pfizer – COVID-19 Competitive Grant Program

Purpose:

The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to support research to increase knowledge of COVID-19 epidemiology, infection, pathophysiology, and potential prevention measures. We are particularly interested in supporting research in the following areas: • Understand impact of COVID on communities, spectrum of disease in communities, and level of herd immunity • Postmortem Analysis of deceased persons with known or suspected COVID-19.

Expected approximate range of grant awards: $50,000 to $250,000 USD. We will consider larger grants depending on the size and scope of the program.

Key Dates:

To facilitate a rapid response, application reviews and approvals will be done on a rolling basis. We anticipate a high volume of applications and will continue to award grants until the budget is depleted, in which case the RFP will close before the listed closing date.

Grant Application RFP start date: May 20, 2020

Grant Application RFP closing date: June 17, 2020

Anticipated Grant Award Notification Date: Our intent is to review and make funding decisions on all applications within 10-14 days* of submission. *Processing time may take longer for organizations outside of the U.S. • Grants will be distributed following a fully executed agreement.

Anticipated Project Start: As soon as possible after the grant agreement is executed.
