The 2020 Nemmers Prize is open to physician-scientists whose body of research exhibits outstanding achievement in their disciplines as demonstrated by works of lasting significance.
The Mechthild Esser Nemmers Prize is awarded every two years by Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. The prize is made possible by a generous endowment to Northwestern by Erwin and Frederic Esser Nemmers. The Nemmers Prize in Medical Science was founded in honor of their mother, Mechthild Esser Nemmers. The biennial prize of $200,000 is one of the five Nemmers Prizes administered by Northwestern University. Entries for the 2020 Mechthild Esser Nemmers Prize in Medical Science are being accepted through Nov. 1, 2019.
