As part of its ongoing work, the UVA Health Primary Care Optimization Workgroup in partnership with HIT will launch ticket scheduling for 11 common adult and pediatric primary care visit types on Dec. 10.
Access associates, clinical team members who schedule, and providers may use ticket scheduling to allow patients to self-schedule for specific visit types within specified timeframes. Tickets may be generated for patients with and without active MyChart accounts for in-person or telehealth visits. The new functionality aims to reduce in-basket volumes while improving the patient experience.
Team members may learn more about the clinical and access workflows for ticket scheduling by visiting the UVA Health Epic Learning Library.
