Becker’s Hospital Review, a national healthcare publication, recently named UVA Health University Medical Center to its 2023 list of “Great Hospitals in America.” It also recognized UVA Health’s Heart & Vascular Center by ranking it on their 2023 list of 100 hospitals and health systems with great heart programs.
Both recognitions highlight the high-quality work done across UVA Health, from patient care to research to training the next generation of healthcare providers. The UVA Health University Medical Center “has earned a reputation for superior care, research and education,” according to Becker’s, noting that nine specialties at UVA Health Children’s were ranked this month among the top 50 nationally by U.S. News & World Report.
In reference to UVA Health’s Heart & Vascular Center’s inclusion on the list of 100 hospitals with great heart programs, Becker’s said the honored institutions “are renowned for their exemplary heart care, patient outcomes and leading technologies.” Institutions that conduct research, such as UVA Health, also contribute to “innovative breakthroughs in the field of cardiology,” Becker’s noted.
