Dean Melina Kibbe, MD
Congratulations to Melina R. Kibbe, MD, Dean of UVA School of Medicine and Chief Health Affairs Officer, UVA Health for being selected by Virginia Business magazine as an inspiring female leader in the Commonwealth. Dean Kibbe was one of 37 women selected for the honor out of more than 300 nominations of women executives across Virginia.
Since joining UVA School of Medicine in 2021, Dean Kibbe has been inspired by the incredible talent, passion, courage and excellence among the school’s faculty, staff, trainees, students and alumni. She has used that inspiration to fuel her vision for the School of Medicine and to guide both the School and UVA Health in our path to achieving the 10-year Strategic Plan. The Dean is a visionary, mentor, educator and trailblazer whom we are proud to have at our helm.
